Hope you had a great summer!  Since the WCCTAC Board is not scheduled to meet until Friday, September 30th, the following is the second update for late summer:

 

1.                   Senator Torlakson is proposing legislation to support the creation of the California Delta Trail that will connect to the Bay Trail (see attachment).

2.                   MTC’s analysis of the Federal Transportation Bill (SAFETEA-LU) is attached.

3.                   Several conferences are coming up in the near future:  The League of California Cities Annual Conference and Exposition at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco on October 5 – 8; the California Chapter of the American Planning Association Conference at Yosemite on October 30 – November 2; and the 5th Annual New Partners for Smart Growth Conference in Denver on January 26 – 28, 2006.
